This seems to be a reactionary action to a long standing shortage. Who is responsible for this? It just seems that there is a severe lack of leadership and management in most businesses and government today. With all of the technology that is in place today, the people that are required to make it all work have been forgotten.

The lowering of academic standards in schools and the lack of law enforcement is beginning to affect all aspects of America life. Look around, everywhere there is s lack of pride of a job done well. Only the bare minimum is "good enough".It is very obvious that this has crept into the aviation world, which is unacceptable.No business is more demanding of perfection than aviation, anything less that the very best efforts is unacceptable.
Corporate take overs, Capital acquisitions,just in time manufacturing, value engineering, price optimization.
Seen it all with the same results, lower quality and higher costs for the employees and customers.
