Fokker Fellowship (N109UR)

Flashback (Around 39 - 41 years ago back to the 1981 - 1983 time frame) ~~
An Empire Airlines Fokker F-28 Fellowship (N109UR) and a Delta Lockheed L-1011-1 Tristar (N716DA) are ramped next to each other in this heavily resurrected two-photos-combined panorama picture taken at an unknown airport (identified below in COMMENT by ejstar111 as JFK) sometime between 1981 and 1983. This picture, created from two separate snapshots merged into one, is another photo from the memorabilia collection of Mr. Larry Myers.
** Surprisingly, this picture contains the first photos of both of these aircraft to be entered into FA's photo gallery. **

This photo has been heavily photoshopped, a process that took just over 8 hours, in order to recolorize and repair both images, then combine them into one picture, and then apply further PS remedies to achieve this result.

The histories of both aircraft shown here will be provided below. It will be a lengthy read ....
1974 ... N716DA delivered to Delta.
2001 .... N716DA is WFU by Delta and sent to Mojave (KMHV) for storage. A photo on the JP snob site taken at MHV shows it intact but without titles.
2002 ..... N716DA is b/u at Mojave.
2007 .... A photo taken by Radek Oneksiak at Mojave shows the sole remaining chunk of N716DA, the tail, literally destroyed.

Early 1980s ... Two photos (one of the front portions and a second of the rear portions) of Empire's N109UR ramped next to Delta's N716DA are taken. Both photos are filed away in the HQ offices of Empire Airlines and forgotten.
1982 .... The FAA deregisters aircraft reg N498US from a Northwest Airlines B727.
1986 .... Piedmont Airlines purchases Empire Airlines and acquires Empire's fleet of Fokker F-28 Fellowship aircraft, including Empire's N109UR.
A couple of years later, Piedmont is bought and is blended into US Air. N109UR is now N498US in the US Air system.
1995 ... N498US is WFU by US Air.
Dec, 1995 .... N498US is purchased by Air21.
Jan, 1997 .... Air21 folds its tent. N498US is purchased by Horizon Air and retains the N498US reg.
2002 .... N498US is WFU by Horizon and goes into storage at Moses Lake, WA (KMWH).
2008 ... Mr Larry Myers discovers the long-abandoned and forgotten pictures in an old file cabinet that is being taken to a dump in central New York State. He salvages the badly deteriorated pics and scans them in an effort to preserve the images.
2021 .... Numerous attempts to contact Mr Myers are unsuccessful and it is rumored that he may have failed to regain his health after battling a long illness.
2022 .... The two photos he saved 14 years ago are subjected to extensive PS work and are shown as one photo above. Larry, my friend, I did the best I could. (gcs)
